There are a few texts that change slightly depending on gender, but the choice doesn't change any opportunities or abilities in vanilla Transcendence (yet).

How not to replace things
Is there a way to make minor changes to an entire non-player ship class without overriding it? For example, is there a way to equip a shield on every Centauri raider at/near creation, even if it was created as part of a random encounter?

I think you should be using objGetSellPrice instead of objGetBuyPrice.

When I run Transcendence using Wine, the sound effects don't work properly, unless some Windows DLLs are loaded. Transcendence March doesn't play at all. I though the Jotun deflector was associated with Thor's Wondrous Devices, like someone brought in an alien artifact, and the Thor's techs bolted on improvised interfaces.

I picture the anarchists as space hippies or punks with bicycles and vans. And the Centauri raiders I see as technicals... based on riced-out Civics. What would ships other than fighters and freighters do? Shuttles would fly like freighters, just with human cargo. There isn't any deep-space fishing....
