So, this new wingman system isn't working out. They really need to stay out of your line of fire. Could we get back some formation controls? Maybe make it so you can choose where they sit in relation to you. Could they rotate with you, sort of orbiting you when you turn, so that they are never within 20 degrees of you line of fire?
The other really annoying thing is that you can't convince wingmen to not attack enemies that are firing at you. I lost Volkov to this and nearly one of the other dudes too. Can you add another option, such as escort so that form up keeps them formed up?
Thank you for adding wait. That is really helpful.

If you drop a bar of soap on the ground, is it dirty?
If a person is legally blind, and can suddenly see, is he breaking the law?
If a friend says he's going outside to get some air, what was he breathing before?

Sorry for the bump, but I need to correct some errors on my part.
This new system seem to only apply to non-military wingmen. So scratch everything I said about it for them. However, everything I've said still applies to the other wingmen (and autons.)
It would be really nice to have an escort command, such as was included in a mod on xelerus (sorry, I don't remember who made it, but I think it was called wingmen extended or something.)
Thanks George!

In RC2 I've fixed these wingman bugs:
1. I've fixed the wait command (it was busted in RC1)
2. Wingmen don't chase enemies unless you order them to (with Break & Attack)
3. Wingmen don't position themselves in your line of fire (they move out of the way as you rotate)
