Do the AI ships ignore the weapon fire rate?
Because it seems if the AI fire rate is removed it doesn't use the weapons actual fire rates, instead it seems to use some obscenely fast rate that has no apparent limits passed down from the weapons. A Corsair using a Fast Fire laser gets off twice as many shots as my playership with the same weapon if the AI settings are removed.
Is there a way to get the AI to use the weapon fire rates?
Also, if the AI fire rate is faster than the weapon's actual given rate does that mean that the AI gets the faster rate? So if the AI has a 20 and the weapon has a 40 the AI actually gets the 20?
Besides FireRate, Accuracy and Perception are there any other AI settings?
Oh, I guess there is a CombatStyle too.
What are the options for CombatStyle?

The AI fire rate is an adjustment:
10 = same rate as the weapon
20 = twice as slow as the weapon
40 = four times slower than weapon
[I think if you remove the fireRateAdj attribute you get 0, which means the weapon fire is infinitely fast.]
There are four valid combat styles:
[none] = use normal combat style
"flyby" = style used by Himal Interceptors (in practice, not too different from standard)
"noRetreat" = style used by Urak sentinels. In "normal" combat style, ships will retreat if they get too close to the enemy. In this style they do not.
"standOff" = This style is used by slow ships with omni weapons. Instead of closing with the target and facing towards it, they move to the edge of their range and fire from a distance.

Thank you for explaining the AI fire rate and combat styles, George.
And, yeah, without the fire rate in the AI settings tag the AI fire fast enough to make the shots look almost like a solid beam.
10 it shall be then!
