What command gives me a list of items in the format I can use for coding? EX. "itDualFlenserCannon" and the id code (or whatever you want to call it EX. "0x0000400E" in a text file like /itemtable does, but, like i say, for coding? (I know where to find weapons, but reactors arent int he resources)

all items in the game are in the xml files
for example the black market ID is in Transcendence.xml
I use textpad for my editing needs it can search multiple files at the same time and has bracket matching among many other useful functions.

and the ids? are they specific to the item or to the mod? Is it something you just make up?
EDIT: nevermind, I got it, sorry for getting off topic.

Is this gonna be put in one of the new forums? Probably Extension Reference.

Is there anyway to make the unid and the itblahblahblah; show up in the item tables?

Llike can the transdata program add a unid and <what ever you want to call the "&itITEMNAME;" column? If there is a way, please tell, that would make this program way more useful to me.

did you put transdata in the same folder as transcendence.tdb ?

from that error it seems that the files weren't in the same folder.

when all the files are in the same folder just do
transdata /decompile

I personally use a simple .bat file that i just have to double click.

TransData GUI...?

Okay, so I've been testing and re-testing my stations, updating them for v1. And I've hit a big snag: the random placement factor does not guarantee that *my* stations will appear in-game in the right level(s) or quantities. (Case in point: the most recent iteration had *not even 1* Tinkerer.)
So, I know TransData lets you see these variables beforehand. But that's only if you are familiar (or comfortable) with command lines. I'm not. I'm bad - like Command line FAIL! bad. Please, please, please, can we get a TransData GUI? (FWIW, I found several for DosBox, and they're definitely a big help.)

Long-time no post!
:D

So anyways, I think someone did make a TransData GUI... it's burried in page 3 or 4 I think of the commonwealth forum though... :?
Might want to try the search function, as inefficient as it is.

Wonder why he took it down? (I think it may have been because it was outdate, at version 1.6)
