Does anyone know if you can keymap using WindowsXP??

I want to change down arrow to brake but I don't want to install 1.02 yet. Can I just change period to be on the down button for Trans and change it back when im not playing??

There are programs that can change the keys your playing the game with however its much easier to download 1.02. It does not matter what operating system your on just that you have the version that supports custom key maps

Use AutoHotKey. If i recall correctly there is even an ahk script on xelerus that provides this.

Just had a quick look and I can't find it... but seriously... it is very very simple to implement. Read the ahk doc for a little bit and it should be easy... It is a max of three lines

failing that, you should really not hold back on 1.02... sure there are a few bugs, but I would hardly call any of them complete showstoppers (even try 1.03 now, and help the community bugreport). If you do that your wish is fulfilled by changing one word in a config file.

Failing that, you will realize that you an actually live with the default configuration, and after a while you will find it weird pressing back to stop :D

I completly agree with alterecco.
The 1.02 has fwe bugs that are game issues. Your not going ot have many issues with it. 1.03 should'nt either.

I downloaded AutoHotKey from CNET.com and changed down arrow to use the . key. Thanks for the advice!
