The mining laser has terrible roundoff problems though. The repeat makes it better against stations, but a 5% resist becomes 40% and 25% becomes 70%. The collimator helps with roundoff, but it also suffers its own roundoff. It's a bigger benefit on higher damage per shot weapons like the turbolaser. You're also putting up with inferior range and fire rate.

PK25 Morning Star Cannon if you count a level 4 as a beginning weapon. add the speed enhancing rom and it will shred everything up to the St. Kat area. Its very spray and pray.
