What's Wrong With This Picture?
Considering the Commonwealth's position on slavery (one slave trade=death) I find it a bit odd that Sung slavers would be in Saint K's. They're not even in the asteroid belt with all the other baddies, they're right there in plain sight!

Heh. Stupid Commonwealth. Given their statistics I'm surprised the Ares or even the Sung haven't gotten some of their best ships together and blown through St. K's...

being so close to the commonwealth's biggest metropolis you would think a passing merchant would report them to the militia. It's like setting up an illegal drug factory(in a warehouse sized building) a few miles from downtown New York with a big sign that says "we make drugs" on the roof.

TX2 fixes this (and the perception that the CW can't defend itself from the ares, and that the ares are dumb for not having tried to wipe them out already)

On the other hand, it is:
A) A camp, indicating non-permanence and a moveable nature.
B) Likely to be given to you as a target for a militia mission. That's the same as the commonwealth doing something about it, right?

I'm pretty sure there are no millita stations in Saint K's. And they look pretty immobile to me.Fossaman wrote:On the other hand, it is:

I went over there to free the slaves, but my autons botched the whole thing...
I do like the way the autons now attempt to avoid the buisness end of your ship. What I do not like is loosing the "meat shield" (I know they're made of metal, it's a term not to be taken literally) effect when you get a good number of them. I'd also like to be able to instruct them to escort a target for escort missions (I wouldn't even need to be there for Korvlov missions, just send my small fleet of M1 and M1/i autons to do it for me!).

Until you get banned from Korolov because your dumb autons blew up the freighter.schilcote wrote:I'd also like to be able to instruct them to escort a target for escort missions (I wouldn't even need to be there for Korvlov missions, just send my small fleet of M1 and M1/i autons to do it for me!).
I believe there is a militia station in the St. Kat's Arcology ring thing that will give you missions, one of which may be to eliminate the Sung camp.
Last Cause Of Death: Destroyed by Karl Svalbard's last Lucifer missile, right after I blew him up. And the crowd cheers.
But still, the Commonwealth appears to absolutely despise slavery, if you sell ONE slave, they'll immediately know about it and kill you if you dock at a commonwealth station.
It's like terrorists built a building on the White House lawn and then hung a neon sign atop it saying "TERRORISTS IN THIS BUILDING". I mean, they're right next to the capital of the commonwealth, and they're not even acting like they're trying to be covert (they're registered in the cartography library, and they're not even in the asteroid belt!)!
I don't even understand how the game decided to put that thing there. I mean, Sung aren't supposed to show up until a few systems later, aren't they?

There's a militia station inside the arcology. It's in the first submenu, I think.schilcote wrote:I'm pretty sure there are no millita stations in Saint K's. And they look pretty immobile to me.
And Sung slave quarters look about the same size as a cargo container, and blow up just about as easily. It's easy to picture big huge racks of them on the side of a Sung Transport. Dunno about the central station.

The QUARTERS I agree with you about. But the central station looks like the sort of thing you build and then leave there.Fossaman wrote:There's a militia station inside the arcology. Even if it is there to be used by the militia station, it really dosn't make any sense that Sung ships would be able to exist for ten seconds in Saint K's, let alone set up a station there.

Speaking of St.Ks.....I'm not sure if this has been reported, but there's a typo on one of the Arcology Segments. Just cycle targets next to the rings, and you'll see which one hasn't been named.
