.99e/1.0 Wishlist/buglist [add yours!]

Small changes can be expected in .99c- larger things (ie, added items, ships, etc. would generally be unreasonable to request for .99c, so I added in 1.00)

bugfix

.99e:

1) more usable item levels (current max is 25) (maybe up to 50? 100?)
2) if player destroys kronosaurous as journyman and becomes legend (skipping master), they should still get the class 5 shield <Note- known bug, but I didn't see it in the bug fixes for 99b. I havn't tested this out yet (no EI100!'s D: It's only antares and an EI7000... :( )
3) ability to add custom enhancments
4) <configuation> tags for fragments (if non present, just use the current radial pattern) (currently is a weapons only thing) ((I wanted to make a fragment that would always keep traveling in the same direction that the original projetile went))
5) charon map rom in order to kill all charon stations in charon if base is saved
6) really good gift for saving korolov + killing all charon bases

feel free to add in your own suggestions.

If we are talking 1.0 here I'm in favor of multiple bands of pirates, not just the Charon pirates, maybe some black market gangs as well.

Ideally you would be able to interact with the different groups, run missions, set them up against each other, make them allies like the Huari, etc.

Afterall just one big gang isn't very realistic.

Of course that would be a big job I imagine. A couple of other things I'd like would be reverse thrust, sure you can get something similar if you use things like recoil, but it's not just the same. Perhaps negative thrust as well, for use in things like tractor beams, which someone made a prototype of already.

Maybe I'm overreaching, I dunno.

[edit] BTW- I'll be incorperating some of, if not all of the non-engine stuff into Trans-X2.

For 1.0

Code: Select all

<!--
							<Action name="Purchase tickets" default="1" key="P">
							</Action>
						-->
What's this for, I'd like to see it become a functional feature for the Battle arena.

If you're looking for it, it's in BattleArena.xml

Obsidian's gang idea gave me an idea - a Charon civil war! And you get to pick which side to join.

I actually have the code for that in Trans-X (the original)

I still have to update it.

Wish list? Lets see:

1) Retro thrusters on the down arrow. :)

2) More money making missions in the mid to late game (rin missions!) so I don't have to rely on farming so much. That and I just love the Korlov and military style missions. Probably a bit much for .99c...

3) Some way to eliminate the firing arc shadows. I do a lot of very long range combat. ;)

Uhm. That's mostly it until we see something past Heretic. I really like the overall game right now.

I'm pretty sure this was already set in .99a.

Actually it's a relatively crap gift. You save hundreds (then kill hundreds, I guess) and all you get is some measly item.

At the risk of spoilers I suppose....

Code: Select all

<DestroyFortressSuccess>
						<Initialize>
							(block (roll)
								(setq roll (random 1 100))
								(switch
									(leq roll 30)
										(setq gItem (itmCreate &itXRayLaserCannon; 1))

									(leq roll 60)
										(setq gItem (itmCreate &itOmniParticleCannon; 1))

									(leq roll 80)
										(setq gItem (itmCreate &itMarkIHowitzer; 1))

									(setq gItem (itmCreate &itClass5Deflector; 1))
									)
Don't know about you, but I don't see anything in that list that's a "measly" item.

There's a class 5 deflector?
Anyway, I'd call the Mark I a measly item, which seems to be what I've gotten every time :P

In some version, some day, I'd like a few drawing functions.

<Display> to take a few functions like (scrSetImagePosition [image] X Y W H) instead of in <Image> would make life easier for some things.

(scrDrawLine ({color}) (x,y) (x,y))
(scrSetDisplayTextSize [size])
(scrSetOverflowScroll) for larger maps in the dockscreen that could scroll to view
(scrSetActionOnDisplayImage (image) (function)) for clickable dockscreen displays

I would like mp3 support functions :) (sndPlay and sndStop)

and access to the bottom layer of the star parallax system to put images there of distand faded galaxies and nice backgrounds... :D

you're supposed to get a class 5 deflector for becoming a master though... (and that's bugged too)

Sure its already been said but make the Charon like true Pirates.

And perhaps thought slightly pointless, pick your sides

And lastly in game ship change.
