Hi, I'm going to see if I can get people interested in another succession game.
I've already taken the first turn, and the purpose of this succession is to get people to:
(1) Play Transcendence without commitment (so they can pick up and play at whatever point this succession is at and contribute)
(2) Find bugs in mods
(3) Suggest features for mods
(4) Have fun

I've already died, so we can rule a permadeath conduct out. Drive up the deathcount, guys!

You can sign up here by posting on the threads or by posting on the Transcendence Facebook page.
I've setup the schedule here and added Autohummer on Satuday (PST).

VERSION:
This will be done in 1.2 alpha.

RULES:
The same rules apply from the last succession.
-Each Player will take a turn, which will consist of:
-Exploring (at least) one system. You can go further but please avoid dying, even if it's allowed. Each player is NOT responsible for cleaning out the system.
-can buy one PSD ship (but take care of it, and don't lose other people's ships!)
--------there's a shipyard at Rigel, somebody can use that
* if you don't want to lose somebody else's ship I recommend leaving it near an allied station and mark it on Captain's Log. The only thing is parallax means there's no sitting on anything anymore, so PLEASE be careful with other people's ships.
-the Agauptera is everybody's ship, so if you lose your personal PSD ship you'll have to use the Agauptera.
-players can also upgrade their ship, so you can Trade in.
-If you're lucky enough, find a trading post first and order a shipwright to get a second ship
-post before you take a turn, and you have six (6) hours to complete it before someone else can take a turn in your stead.
-Name the save file as:
Succession3-TurnX[PlayerNameHere]
*Example: Succession3-Turn1[RPC]
-upload the .sav file to this thread and tell us any major events, like losing a ship.

MODS:
-Only tamper with a mod if you want to fix it. No adding cheat mods as well.
-If you tamper with a mod, demonstrate that it works in a test save, and upload:
1. the test save
2. the new mod
in your new post
-that way, we can add it separately to the modpack and fix it

Special Notes:
Since we're looking for bugs and suggesting improvements on mods, I've added some code to Dynamic Systems so that it reminds you to save every five (5) minutes game-time. (It will warn you a lot faster if you use autopilot a lot though). This will be great for preventing us from losing too much work, and if a save gets corrupted we can go back to the last player's save.
I accidentally added an experimental utility items in, but it's non-gamebreaking (it's more just text that talks about stuff that isn't implemented yet).

BUGS AND SUGGESTIONS
Bugs found:
(PSD) Renaming ships does not rename a ship
Suggestions for mods:
(Agauptera) If we can make add a special dockscreen to the Agauptera so it has a database of all ships, names, weapons seen on ships, speeds of ships, and gives them a combat rating so if there's a cluster of scary ships and it warns you, that would be freaking awesome.
(Planet Parallax) I've noticed that some of the worlds have a really weird black ring around them, will have to go back and fix those or poke digdug to do it.

I've noticed that some of the worlds have a really weird black ring around them, will have to go back and fix those or poke digdug to do it.
some of the worlds I made in the past ?
ahhh, I might need to do a better mask eventually.

Guys, don't use FourFire's last save, he added mining cheats and now the game doesn't run with the same modpack. Start with my save.

Well, new save, this time with 100% less cheating, I still did quite a bit of good: upgraded to Dual converging laser, got some level V weapons from Uraks got BM ID

and some cash to boot.

Edit: bugs and mod suggestions;
Whichever mod adds more missile launchers is not compatible with all of the missiles we have (the KM<100 series' endong and so on with the Civilian launcher) I suggest, if possible the missile and launcher mods (there's at least three) should be edited into complete compatibility.

The Miningpack RMP always reverts to level I when uninstalled, something which costs 10 000 credits and a visit to a mining station to remedy. I suggest a function which registers if RMP has been upgraded, on a ship, and If it is installed, then autoinstalls the II and III roms upon reinstall for that ship.

The planet graphics, though very nice, often/always cover up the stations and ships on the LRS and Map, which makes it difficult
to see whether a planet should be avoided or not.
(Suggest fixing... something to do with render layers something something).

Please don't use all the Centauri mechanics on urak destroyers ! I want to capture a pirate frigate if possible, and if not then a raid platform or perhaps a barbary gunship.

BUG:Disable RMP bug
BUG:Rotolooter and Captain's log compatibility issue
BUG:Refined orthosteel armor from the RMP is *military*. I didn't even know random pilgrims could manufacture military grade hardware with an RMP brought from a backwater station.
BUG:Autopilot takes over too fast

Maybe if it was transparent the black areas could be atmosphere though :3

Also, I think I've found a nice way to use those centauri shipwrights, there are tons of Urak destroyer wrecks.
They look great as well, and have *3* linked weapon slots :D

I'll try and get some decent shields, also more, better armor.
what happened to the corsair which had the shipwrights on it?
I thought that if we could give it a decent shield it could be quite useful.

What corsair? Are you sure that wasn't in your cheat save? :P
Also, use Captain's log to map where you leave ships so other players can keep track.

Ok, Save, and I felt that I accomplished a lot this turn ... you'll see...

Oh yeah and please keep all the reactive armor variants and class I, class II, and class III shields somewhere (even the broken ones)

Try to get a decent outfit for all our ships (above level V weapons, above level IV armor, Above level III Shields).

See to getting a military ID because it's really starting to suck; losing loot all the time.

Collect all the ore you can, and try making Duralloy armor (it's really useful).

I'm beginning to suspect that we are trapped in a small collection of systems, in which case we need to start over... or buy the jumpdrive in adventure outfitters and jump everywhere.
