Hi guys, I'm going to start Succession #2A. Unlike the first succession, this one has lots of mods, and hopefully we won't encounter a mod-related crash >.>
The second Succession was halted since we had lots of bug issues, and 1.08x wasn't cutting it.
This isn't permadeath, and so death is allowed, even welcome, if it means more people will take turns.

Instead of Network, I spent ~1 month making Uncharted. Good luck guys! :D
Same basic rules apply:
-Each Player will take a turn, which will consist of:
-Exploring (at least) one system. You can go further but please avoid dying, even if it's allowed. Each player is NOT responsible for cleaning out the system
-can buy one PSD ship (but take care of it, and don't lose other people's ships!)
--------there's a shipyard at Rigel, somebody can use that
* if you don't want to lose somebody else's ship I recommend leaving it near an allied station and mark it on Captain's Log. The only thing is parallax means there's no sitting on anything anymore, so PLEASE be careful with other people's ships.
-the Agauptera is everybody's ship, so if you lose your personal PSD ship you'll have to use the Agauptera.
-players can also upgrade their ship, so you can Trade in.
-If you're lucky enough, find a trading post first and order a shipwright to get a second ship ;)
-post before you take a turn, and you have six (6) hours to complete it before someone else can take a turn in your stead.
-Name the save file as:
Succession2A-TurnX[PlayerNameHere]
*Example: Succession2A-Turn1[RPC]

-upload the .sav file to this thread and tell us any major events, like losing a ship.


I think that's all for now. Since more people will play we could have more people play per day, but please adhere to the rules and have fun!

Some things to note:
I included Gravity so that all the loot goes to the star. This is great for saving time, but not when there are Salvagers or Gaians. I turned off gravity interacting with players since I have a freighter.
I merged Planet Parallax with Parallax Worlds, so Digdug's awesome biosphere planets don't show up as often, but only when a biosphere planet is present.
Sometimes Transcendence crashes without actually counting as a death on startup, just restart and it'll work. For some reason it doesn't count as a death though.

My Turn:
Currently I started in the Agauptera. Lots of loot, and you can read Captain's Log for some details.
One system (Helios?) is binary. Lots of combat and pilgrims duking it out, so the system got laggy. I gated out to this asteroid belt system, hopefully somebody can mine it.
I do recommend having somebody check out the Thunderbird in the dry dock. Looks like it has 3 weapon mounts o.O
I've left the Rigel dry dock unused for the next player.

If there's a mod I left out or it's outdated tell me so that we can fix it before we get too invested in this save.

I'm going to try it now (woah, big modpack you have there!)

Finished: [Use RPC's extended save]

There was a problem with my savefile and I'm using RPC's new save so ignore the below, as it no longer is relevant.

I started by mining A whole heap, only to discover that I didn't have enough space, so I dumped ore on a planet multiple times (I marked the planet on the log) I backtracked and mined that binary system a load, bought a RMP on the freighter and then proceeded to make some better armor, bought a ship in that system then backtracked to eridani.
The centauri raged on me and I lost that ship!, I raged on the cnetauri and suffice to say, they won't be poking their reticulant heads in the outer realm anytime soon.
I bought another ship of the same type (Warning! Don't change ships without first disabling the lasers it's buggy and will shoot you and everything to death like a ******* **** Darwin Award winner).
The damn ****er ****ing shot down the guardships at the Rigel hotel. (so don't try to dock with it)

Otherwise I began the Arena missionline and I returned to the binary system to find a giant cluster-**** of NOPE!!
on the green planet near the lower star (quite nearby the CW station and defense dealer).

Going back and forth few times I upgraded the shields on both starter craft with a laser deflector on the Yacht and a something or rather of level III on the freighter.
There is about the same amount of money as I started with.
Keep in mind that I've pretty much mined out all the visited systems.

I died once; the tinkers don't appreciate me spreading my radiation to their guard ships and I say **** you, if you aren't going to let me dock then DIE!

There are at least 10 raid platforms in the vicinity of the gate on the binary system side this came as a retaliation result (I think)

of me going all morningstar on all of their bases and about 50 missile cruisers...

Reminder to self when taking turn:

Set up Titanium barricades to protect others' ships

Get a supply of radiation remedies.

Build up ship equipment (Agauptera) and financial base.

Attempt to thin out raid platforms (IF POSSIBLE)

(Long term goal: Capture ICS with shipwright and use as playership)

Trivial spoiler: ICS has an alien shipwright of its own as loot, and can install devices over level 10 on the ship it rebuilds. Also, the ICS has a builtin 5 GW reactor. Since you effectively win the game when you defeat the ICS, you might as well have some fun roaming as a demigod before ending the game.

Warning: the save is bugged and Hardcrashes about two seconds after loading; I highly suspect the source of the crash to be whatever mod puts boxes over asteroids; perhaps it encounters a mod station it doesn't like.

(mined out systems, got uran armor for both ships, bought the "Firey Star",bought ammo and cannon accelerators(they don't work on launcher mounted weapons D: ) and specifically did not die though the bug crash says I did)

Apparently it's a WE overlay that's causing the crash, dunno why. Sending savegame + mods to digdug. Succession is doing it's job bugtesting mods :D

Warning: We're in the next cluster. That means that the difficulty jumped up. I saw Ventari and some ares sandstorms, which means we're in a high level system. It'll probably be the highest we'll get. If we can loot some ion stuff we'll be good the the rest of the game.

If there's lag or bug issue PLEASE report it so I can fix it.

Also, don't lose any of the PSD ships :3

I found a lethal bug when you combine parallax + WE + SysDens.
Apparently the larger amount of stuff to TypCreate in the system plus the ships WE has to randomize breaks the game. I already fixed WE, all I have to do is touch up parallax. I don't know if I can save this game, we might have to restart.
If we do, I'll give us 100,000 and we can start from there.

I did so much stuff: mining, gating, running, dieing, screaming, trying, selling, buying, dieing (I died something like 16 times), Mining,
Screaming, Dieing, Gating, Angsting, Owning (lets see you outsmart two converging phobii with a level III shield!) then st00f and sh00p da w00p; save is there and you should first thing empty the cargo hold of sellable things, go to Rigel and complete the Arena
then go (carefully!) through the level 7 system and the level 4 system after the Ares binary system is St, Katheriens (I am never playing this crazy gamemode again!) and they won't let you get a military license before you do arena st00f.
