Have a particle beam 13.5 at 10/s. Upgraded to 21.6 at 10/s (and still have a couple more longzu spheres).
That's 216 damage per sec, but by the 13th system won't enemys be getting resistant to particle?
Is this a good weapon?

At first I was like because that's better than a Tev9, and then I was like D: because you wasted your longzhu's on it.
seriously; save your longzhu's for your end-game shield & weapon.

It's all fine if you're packing a missile launcher, though.

In the future give actual names and degrees of enhancement. Not everyone knows the weapon list well enough to deduce that you're using a +90% Fusionfire and an Advanced tritium cannon
You should have saved your thermo upgrades for the advanced tritium cannon. Howitzers do better with +fast from an optimizer rom because their fire rates are slow enough to make them clumsier to use.
The advanced tritium really shines with thermo upgrades but gets no real benefit from +fast. Since thermo upgrades are in short supply they're best reserved for it or possibly used on an ammo using thermo cannon
The Advanced Tritium Cannon burst fire is only really good in two instances: If you can kill the target before the gun overheats, or if you need to stop firing anyways to dodge an Ares Lightning Turret. That makes saving thermo enhancers for it very important if you want to use it. At +90% it will kill an Iocrym Sentinel in a single heat cycle and can kill lighter ships in a short enough burst that it won't build very much heat, but you used probably your entire game's supply of thermo enhancers on another weapon, making the Advanced Tritium not worth having. In terms of sustained dps the advanced tritium cannon lags behind your Fusionfire.

By the time I reach Heretic, I usually end up with Katana Star Cannon and Fusionfire howitzer, not enhanced. No missile launcher-I never really see the need to use one. (Unless I forget you cant fire laser weapons with Solon sheilds-that sucks.)
I really don't care if I get my hair cut... *snip* NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember something... I was using a modded station that sells random enhanced stuff at a premium (Merchant Emporium I think) and I looked at thier weapon stock... two Fusionfires, one +20 and one +Fast... fast one costs a fair bit more... Let's check those numbers...
HOLY COW!
... Ten times normal fire rat isn't bad!
(I saw a decimal point move, from I think "1.5 shots per second" to "15 shots per second" or something like that)
Sufice it to say I saved up a little more and bought the fast one.
...Good memories.
(I think speed enhanced basebusters are WAY undervalued in shops... Why do we even HAVE a +900% speed enchantment?)

What is the DPS of a fusion fire? ~120 I think?
So ... That's over 1000 DPS of thermo damage. Quite a weapon; level XI.

Let's see... Level IX weapons are about 50% stronger than level VIII, and the level X IM90 is three times stronger than the level IX omni ion blaster. For a level X equivalent FusionFire, assuming shot damage remains the same, it would need to shoot about 6.75 shots per second. If the damage doubles (being generous) from level X to XI, that would be 13.5 shots per second. Enhancer items could speed up a level XI FusionFire from there to 15 shots.
