While the PSD red patches are expansions, it's really an unrelated QOL/interface concept that happens to have been implemented for all the PSD ships.
PSD Demiliterized is a third party PSD addon that brings the concept of refurbished and reclassed ships, so should also be valid.

Re: Information on how to use IRC non-existant.
Also, most of the links to IRC open a number of channels at once in different tabs, and you might not end up looking at the one you want to be looking at.

Re: need help making player ship graphics.
You also need to add rotationCount to the ship's setting block; here's what it looks like in one of George's playerships for example: <ShipClass UNID="&scSapphirePlayer;" manufacturer= "Zubrin Systems" class= "Sapphire" type= "yacht" score= "95" mass= "30" reactorPower= "150" fuelCapacity= "37500" c...

Re: [Mod] Playership Drones v5
Awesome. The only other ship I can think of off the top of my head that I want right now is the (Dragony) Molotok 2 from Three New Playership (or is it '3' ...) ... but that one needs to be rebalanced (the max speed is like 45 if nothing else) so it can probably do with a custom user-end tweak for n...

Re: 64 stock ships rotated to 40 facings
To digdug: I don't know what to say. With TrueSpace, all that needs to be done is add frames/edit angles, select view from camera, then render. Most ships can be rendered this way, although the camera position for some (older) ships may need to be adjusted. Some ships, such as the Molotok or variou...

Re: What's the earliest event?
Ummm ... theres OnGlobalTypesCreated ... which runs before you pick a playership. But typSetGlobalData is NOT preseved from this event (as I found out just recently, and with really annoying results). Also .... OnGlobalTopologyCreated might be called before OGUC? I'd think it would be OGTypesC -> (t...

Colo[u]r Blindness Issues
Hi! I was just talking to jimj316 about this in IRC, and I put in this rush ticket to get a small amount of contrast difference added between the hostile and friendly targetting colours in the game: http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence/trac/ticket/944 Does anyone else have any thoughts on other c...

Re: Mining Pack released! (collab with TransGeek)
Ok, so there is one mod issue, as pointed out by Sujamma in IRC (though he thought it was a WE issue?) and I also ran into: it dosen't play well with playership switching. Because the game currently overwrites ship data when ship changing in the interests of tracking the PLAYER properly, you can't c...

Re: Mining Pack released! (collab with TransGeek)
The only compatability issue i've run into is that thing mentioned in the named ore light comments on xelerus where you just need to bop into a couple of the packer xmls and change one line to compare stuff differently. The only other trouble i've run into is that Weapons Extended (5 at least) has i...

StarFlight / StarFlight II?
I had a cousin who had these and thought they were superior to star control for some reason; i never got to play them much for some reason.

Re: Can't download
To _Felix: The current "beta" version is actually 1.08b, which has an announcment thread with a link to the file. This is what SDW here is trying to give you in parts too. BTW, sdw, it might be easier to use without the code tags so you get actual links: try these, 1.5 mb each you will need 7z to op...

Re: Suggestion: best practices for patching others'/older mo
Even a mention in the readme / xml (I usually do both) would be more than what I think a lot have ended up with; and suffice for people sufficently interested to interrogate the mod.

Re: Suggestion: best practices for patching others'/older mo
Thanks for your reply, digdug! I agree that a dropbox link is not optimal; my gut feeling tells me most users won't scroll down the comments when downloading a mod. We could summarize this discussion on a wiki page, and also make a page (possibly add a Xelerus category) for unofficially updated pla...
