[MOD] StelliFer Laboratories
ALPHA release: Most of the blocks are present, but not everything is in place. As I won't be able to work on the mod for some time, I'm releasing what I have as an unfinished alpha, maybe there's material for an altered adventure in the future... Quests aren't included so you get just the novel 8-se...

OK, I've uploaded a new version. Seems I accidentally switched the Makayev and Bushido graphics in the last release. Still doesn't explain MAtz05 's glitch. I've also added the Armor Dealer as it shared the graphics of the besieged colonies. stealthx , I've not changed the logos yet, but keep brains...

It's the weapon, and it's in every aspect a weaker weapon than the omni laser the Freighter would get (since Centauri are kinetic resistant). I made the light recoilless swivel because of the ship's somewhat slower turning rate. The ship has no special abilities aside from having 8 armor segments an...

I don't know the Freehold mod or what stations it overrides to cause this, you'll have to be more specific (with a name of or link to the mod). You could check if any of the station overrides from other mods conflict with each other: Open the SFSpaceStations v## 1_0# xml (check you are using the rig...

Custom dockscreen graphics will go last, hopefully. I did want to make a representation of the command core. It's supposed to be in the ship center mass (since we don't get escape pods anyway), away from viewports and exploding control panels  with a nice holo display of the surroundings fe...

You can without much difficulty make a weapon that does nothing at all to ships or stations. Except display the hit effect against stations since that isn't contingent on doing damage. I've tried putting "laser:0" damage on a "mining5" weapon when making the Maelstrom. It had no effect on asteroids...

Regarding the size of the logos, I have a high res monitor so that's why they're big. Rasiermesser may be a bit large even for me, but I couldn't make a nice small one without it looking like gallows. And yes, I've also thought about adding animated billboards, but I'd put that at the Factories or s...

Sorry, edited wrong post... now, made a new one. Regarding CAD: To keep the thread on topic, here's the new Sung coffin made entirely in TrueSpace, with some photo editing (the silhouette and barcode). http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/7554/sungcoffirr7.jpg I used CAD only for sketching and in the...

I'd say the difference between commercial products and free projects boils down to possible specialized purposes, knowledgebase/community, tech support, and any special-case capabilities (scriptability, add-ons, procedure streamlining - anything to save time and money for the engineers using it). So...

I'm curious, what program did you use to alter the armor pictures? For rendering - I've downloaded TrueSpace 7.6 (which is now free, there's a thread somewhere on the forum...) and used the Transcendence Art scenes George Moromisato has gracefully released to the community. Renders were then photos...

Makayev, from what I gathered, represents a rocket boosting from the space center. I'll raise the "legs" so it's more like an "M" rather than an elongated "^" with this perspective. As for the Rasiermesser (German: literal>shaving knife; English: 'cutthroat' razorblade): for a company that specializ...

I have a question first: what is the significance of the areaSet="0,2" part of the ArmorSection definition? In the original ships the values are: Front: 0,2; Left(Port) 3,4; Right(Sbd) 7,13 and Aft 1,6. Northwinds 5-seg armor just reuses the combo and I can't find the definition in the Wiki. Back to...

v0.9 is in the works. In the meantime I've noticed that there's no Commonwealth Outpost, Armed - it's Commonwealth Colony, Armed (the first one with the turret satellites) and there's the Commonwealth Settlement (which up to 1.02 could stock Hyperion reactors). So the old armed graphic will go to th...

It wasn't my intention to profit from slave trade (there's no profit in it, BTW - I'd get more from selling damaged Shurikens and Particle cannons). My point was that since the game already has the option of you being arrested and tried for slavery - then, no matter the outcome of the trial, any sla...
