Nope. Pretty sure it's only ores and ringer valuable items for the ringers, high level military weapons and 'soul' items for the teratons. Taikon does no buying. They're the logical ones to buy armor, but they're a 'dealership' station. Maybe there should be a rin-economy Taikon trading-post. Normal...

I hadn't tried it on Warriors. I felt it was more fun to pick them off with my tev9.

Of course I just got an IM90, so the whole process is now significantly easier, domina power or no.

Oh my are they ever crunchy. It takes some work for me in a freighter, though, which isn't my usual choice of ride. But considering I'm up to about ten ferian nest kills this game, I think I've got the hang of it. And enough rins for an IM90 before Point Juno. I was particularly proud of the one whe...

Three, I think. But considering I was doing close range base busting it was more than enough for an 'oh crap' moment. Those plasma cannons are nasty up close, even with resistant armor.

Well THAT was a surprise...

Loving the new revenge code on the Ferians, George. I was not expecting that many warriors at once. I figured I could just bust the nest, loot, and boogie to a friendly station for some help with the miners. I did survive though. Heavy Ithalium is nice stuff.

BM shipyard offers to install NM900 pod

The black market shipyard offers a 'buy and install' option when purchasing an NM900 external missile pod.

In a similar vein, most places will offer to take your money to install or uninstall your patch spiders.

I think I've seen this as well. I was more interested in killing and looting the warrior corpses than figuring out why they were doing it at the time...

Because the military buys them wholesale, and they get discounts! Razz
It's true. You'll notice it gets to be cheaper than or comparable to an x-ray in cost once you've maxed out fortress missions.

No, it hasn't happened just once. It's happened a bunch of times, but I've never thought it so special as to make a note of each time it occurred. The incident I was referring to happened on my most recent complete playthrough.

Happy?

I ran across a ship in the arena with a full speed Makayev Launcher. It killed me. Twice. And then I gave up and fought a different ship instead.

So yeah, Makayev launcher is probably fine.

I had that happen once, only it was just far enough away that I could get there and blow up the shipyard and its guards before the CSC died. I was pretty excited.

I'd suggest that someone try out the device slots thing and see what happens. The code's in place already, isn't it?

The plasma cannon may not be 'weak' as such, but it really doesn't compare well to an enhanced fusionfire or ion weapon. Because it's unenhanceable itself, that puts it in the 'underpowered' column in my books.

IM90: Make it harder to enhance. Reduce the rate of enhancement by half and it's not so overpowered anymore. If an IPC only pops it up by 5%, it's going to take 30 of them (or thirty longzhus) to enhance it all the way. And if a player has planned ahead that far to have that many of those items, mor...

Sanity check for CW fortress missions?

So I've got a commonwealth fortress. I have a stargate. I have another stargate maybe 200ls away. The commonwealth fortress is at least 800-1000ls away. Maybe more. A loooong ways, at any rate. I have an 'intercept convoy' mission. This does not work very well. I can't reach either stargate before t...
