I know this is an old thread, but I missed out on this conversation as the last time I played before recently was before the story elements were added. As a person with a family (wife and three kids), I find the compulsion element very spooky and emotionally powerful. What kind of compulsion could d...

If so I will add the color coded names(green=friendly red=enemy yellow=either) and reupload the finished version. does anyone know the name o...

I tried Ingenuity for the first time recently (I had a bunch of coffins from a slaver transport I blew up for a mission) and it didn't do anything. Wasn't sure what it was supposed to do, so I'll re-try it.

I thought a Longzu sphere might do it (I must have remembered from back before my year long Transcendence vacation) but I tried one and it didn't do anything. I must not have tried enough. I came up with some good ideas for repairs in the Bugs & Brainstorms forum, hopefuly George will take some of t...

Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a purist and don't play with mods except for total conversions and bug fixing ones.

Well, technically it's a typo though it's not grammatically incorrect. I prefer to read it as the station being slightly peeved at your trying to unload all that cheap ore on them. "What do you expect me to do with tons of ore?" :)

Repairing engines and other non-weapon parts & other ide

I think there should be a way to repair your damaged equipment, although it shouldn't be particularly easy. It's annoying to drop 20000 Rin on a 500MW engine and have it reduced to 400MW soon after from a badly timed shield failure while fighting enemies that have damaging attacks. I can see a coupl...

I've got it to work now, I've made quite a few rin with mining. Whenever I'm flying through an asteroid belt, I'll fire the plasma torch as I zoom past, and if I see anything pop up I go back for it. If it's high quality and I have hold room, I'll stick around and fill up if there's a Ringer base ne...

Is there any way to have damaged ship items repaired? I seem to recall that there was, but I just recently started playing the game gain after a year or so, and I'm still re-learning.

Thanks! The problem with unvGetTime is fixed in the next version. I don't know the problem with the undefined object reference. But if you have a save file that reproduces it, then please send it (transcendence@neurohack.com) Thanks! Thanks! Unfortunately, I've saved over that savegame since then a...

What should Rassermeier be able to repair?

I had a damaged patch spider I tried to get repaired at a Rassermeier factory, but it did not recognize it as an item to be repaired, even after I removed it as an item and had it in my inventory. I also have a 500MW engine that is damaged (now 400MW). I've gone to Rassermeier, and again, they did n...

Error when doing experiments with Teratons + other error

I recently got this error when checking to see if I can let the Teratons do another experiment on me. 06/07/2009 15:02:20 Unknown function: unvGetTime ### (subtract (unvGetTime) (objGetData gSource "LastExperiment")) ### 06/07/2009 15:02:27 Unknown function: unvGetTime ### (subtract (unvGetTime) (ob...

It's definitely intentional for shields to take a while to start regenerating once they get knocked down to 0. I think that it balances out certain shields. Right now there is not much variation between shield types: all shields have this delay. It might be interesting to create some new shield typ...

I have .97 on my old computer, but I'd have to drag it out of the garage and hook it up to tell which exact revision it was.

Just wanted to note that I hadn't tried to play much since I made this post last year, but when I found out they were up to .99 now I got .99c, and it works fine with any resolution. Thanks, George, now I'm addicted to this game again.
