The weapon you were using was an IM-90. And, if memory serves, beating the Iocrym with Shatter disintegrates it. You might want to avoid that. ;) One could use Shatter to knock down it's shields and damage it lightly, then finish it off with Circle of Wrath. One of the recent updates also increased...

an "idle power use" would be a great addition to the ship configuration screen. I think it would be a good idea for the ship to automatically turn off power to a weapon unless it is currently active(selected by "W"), except for capacator weapons, even then the turret component could be disabled, it...

you stand a good chance of dying, but having some good meds negates that mostly.
