Hi all, A new post to up the topic and let you informed as dev is nearing the 006 release ! This time I just coded a basic behavior for police ships : they wander through the system until they encounter a pirate ship. Whether or not the pirate is disguised as a regular freighter doesn't matter. It i...

Hi Prophet,

I'll remember that, this could lead to a better coding of my system, which are all custom-built and fixed-form. Thanks, you opened a damn good path !

Hi Prophet, What I do is making a "Dock" station that sits atop of the standard planet, just like you. But I didn't think to give it the same image as the planet itself. My docks have transparent 1x1 images. So they're invisible and are just used to displaya docking marker at the same position as th...

Hi Prophet, hi all, That's a nice idea. I've already done some things along these lines for my "Hoshikaze 2250 - Stars of Call" Adventure Mod , but it' not completely satisfying. Your way of doing this seems good and I would like to see what it can do. But now I must get to work and quit the keyboar...

Hi Kaama, hi all, I should mention here a series of two Star Wars space shooters developped in VB with the TrueVision 3D Engine by Bruno R. Marcos, aka Bruneras and called Battle of Yavin (BoY) and Battle of Endor (BoE). They render well the great ambiance of the movies, with hundreds of TIE flying ...

Hi Betelgeuse, hi all, Indeed as a texte editor I use Context , which is a good editor with many features. I also know UltraEdit . But I thought an XML editor would be good for viewing a file's structure at a glance. Which is what I found with XML Marker. Btw, I didn't know you didn't use strict XML...

What XML editor do you use ?

Hi all, Now that I've modded a little, I'm beginning to try to streamline my tools ^-^ And I'm wondering which XML editor do you use. I searched a little on Google and I've found XML Marker , which seems quite good. However, I've only evaluated if from a few minutes, so I still don't know how it wil...

Hi all,

I intend to do the same for carriers and stations in the SoC Adventure Mod. But this feature may not be out before someone else already does it, because it needs many other pre-requisite features.

Hi darksider, hi all, Thanks for the information. The 005 configuration works, I just pushed it to 229000 ticks on the Athlon, so I must have broken something in my further developments. I'll check that and when I post 006, I'll try to make it stable ! EDIT #1 : I'm currently trying to sort out the ...

Hi darksider, Had next to no time the pas weeks, but lately I found time to check the following points : (1) Randomized the recurring events and it seems to ease on micro-freezes. (4) Fixed the JumpPoints transparency, they look better now. (7) Integrated your image, it has far better contrast. As f...

Hi darksider,

Indeed this forum IS very international, but writing in English hides that fact. As for grammatical errors, I think we're on a par ^-^ I'm not a native English speaker, either !
