For your first question- I'm not sure if there's any way to do that using functions like you would like. Although it may be possible, I highly doubt it, as descriptions and such are stated in your code. You can, however, make another item with the same (or similar) name but a different UNID, and, of...

I'm sure you could whip something up in Paint of GIMP that would work fine. Just draw a black circle a few pixels across and save it in your Resources folder. It doesn't require any 3D skills, because it's a 2D image. Couldn't you also just have it use a laser projectile and set it to black?

I've read the documentation, and I feel the /? switch is fine. Sure, it could be updated, but it's not really needed with a help command that does the exact same thing. It's not like you have to go out of your way to use it, either. Just CD to the right place, type transdata /?, and then decompile.

I've always thought the bar should give you some actual information about the game's story. I think it would be a quick and dirty way to introduce some of the backstory into the game for people who don't use the forums.

If you're not 100% familiar with command prompts, TransData is a bit tricky to figure out. However, the documentation tells you exactly how it's used. Put it in the same folder with Transc. and open your command prompt. Change directory to the folder that it's in and execute the decompile command. I...

@Karl My understanding was that he was going to design an application in VB that allowed anyone to make mods, with no knowledge of XML whatsoever. As in, press the weapon button, and it asks you in simple form to imput max damage, min damage, rarity, etc. It does the XMLing for you. A very ambitious...

That's going to be a really long list. There's two things you can do. Go to the downloads section and grab TransData, and then follow the instructions to decompile the game files, or head here and grab the source files. Looking through XML source files will give you a complete list of everything, sp...

Your first idea would really add a lot of depth. It's a fantastic idea, and I don't think it would be TOO hard to add. It's really just some still, or slowly moving, particles generated where a ship flies that become less and less "powerfull" as time goes on. Oddbob also made a great point about dri...

Yugi can answer that, but as far as getting them on the internet, go to this site and press the browse button. Browse to your image, unload it, and then post the links here. Someone can download the images and upload them to the Wiki after selecting which ones to use. I suppose you could just upload...

I got another idea! ( you don't have to make this one too fast....i still need to finish my robot ship) how about an...organic-looking ship? Wow, that's 'kinda weird. The mod I've been working on adds a bunch of "bio" stuff, too. I actually drew up plans for a bio-playership and a bio-auton a coupl...
