Lasers vs Kinetics
At least in the early game, you seem to have a pretty clear cut choice between fast, long range energy weapons and slow, short range projectile weapons that do slightly more damage. Does anyone ever actually use the kinetic and blast weapons besides launchers? Because I'm finding they kinda suck. In...

When I first started I was resurrecting constantly, even to the extent that I would save before testing a barrel and self destruct if I didn't like its contents. :P Now I've started playing "hardcore" with no resurrects. Although I will use insurance if I get that far into the game. I figure insuran...

I don't loot the data rom either, and I figure that's part of the story, although I don't know what part, so I wouldn't consider it really a proper reward since it only counts the first time around. It would be nice if Arco, since he's considerably more menacing than anything else in Eridani, would ...

About Arco...
So, why exactly are we supposed to do him in? The only reward we get related to this mission is the NAMI missiles, and once you have that, you get nothing but a thank you for blasting Arco out of the sky with them. Why not just take the missiles and move on to the next system? Shouldn't there be som...

Well perhaps you could just have police vessels that, within a certain proximity, can scan your vessel and if you're carrying non-shielded illegal goods, they'll fire upon you? I just want to see if I can come up with something to make carrying around illegal goodies a little more dangerous and exci...

Police ships docking with you?
Obviously its possible to dock with ships given the CSCs, but is it possible for ships to dock with you? Or at least simulate something to that effect? It would be near if we could create some police ships that would patrol systems and periodically ask you to stop your vessel and be searched. Such a...

Removing virtual objects when new playership created
I'm wondering if this is doable. Since when you equip a ship with a weapon in the ship's XML you are able to specify the location where the weapon originates, I'm wondering if it might be possible to create virtual weapons for all of the ship's device slots, assign locations to those weapons, and th...

Changing variables through code?
I've been trying to understand how some of the function code works for items, but I'm wondering if its possible to modify item variables during runtime, or are we restricted to reading variables and using item functions to change things? I mean, if you just plain wanted to set a shield's recharge ra...

Custom reactor display competition
I'd like to hold a competition where the goal is to create a cool custom reactor display for playerships. Virtually every playership out there that I've seen uses the same reactor display, and while that's fine, I always thought it was fun to switch the graphics around a little for different ship ma...

Actually Arco is pretty easy with MAGs. I just wasted him on a flyby not too long ago. I really don't want to give it a NAMI, because everybody uses NAMI, and at least if you already have a nice launcher that you won't be able to get somewhere else anytime soon, you might feel compelled to hold onto...
