I tried it with greenparticle, lasers, and a few other things. The biggest problems I've run into is shot spacing and keeping the continuous beam effect while turning. It'd be nice if there was a way to make a laser or particle beam stretch from the point of origin until it hit something instead of ...

I like the bomber, it looks almost like a Ancient Warship. :) Although, it could use a bit more colour and texture, but thats just my opinion. :) Good job either way! They're starting ships atm, I'll admit they're powerful but they'll get weak fast past Saint k's. I plan to make them buyable when that gets fleshed out more. Finally, a way to strafe and reverse thrust! Unfortunately, the thrusters take your launcher slot. There are 3 sizes of thrusters micro, medium and heavy freight.
